Safety Disclaimer
If someone is in immediate danger, call 999 now.
For urgent emotional support at any hour, Samaritans are on 116 123 — free, day and night. For medical advice that is not an emergency, call NHS 111.
What we are not
- Not an emergency service. We do not monitor calls or messages, and nobody here will be alerted if you are unwell or in danger.
- Not a crisis helpline. We cannot provide urgent mental health support, suicide intervention or safeguarding response.
- Not medical, nursing or care provision. We do not give medical advice, arrange care visits, medication reminders or welfare checks.
- Not counselling or therapy. Members are ordinary people having friendly conversations, not trained professionals.

If you are worried about a member
If someone you speak with sounds unwell, frightened or at risk, please contact the emergency services first. You can then report a concern from your Connections page so our safety team is aware. We review every report, and higher-risk concerns are escalated straight away — but we cannot provide an urgent response ourselves.
