Set it up for someone you love

If your mum, dad, grandparent or the person you care for would enjoy a regular chat but wouldn't sign up online themselves, you can do it for them in about five minutes.

Common questions

Do they need a computer or a smartphone?

No. Everything that matters happens on an ordinary telephone. You manage the profile online; they simply answer or dial a number.

Will they know I set it up?

Yes. We contact them directly with a short message or a call and ask them to confirm they'd like to take part. We never start matching without that.

Can I look after more than one person?

Yes. You can create and manage several profiles from one account — a parent and an aunt, for example.

What can I see?

You can see who they have been matched with and how their scheduled calls are going, so you can keep an eye on things. You cannot listen to conversations — those are private.

How do I stop it?

You can pause matching, end a connection or delete the profile completely at any time from the settings page. Deletion removes their details from our systems.
